Tom Randall

AT Instructor

Tom Randall is an Assistive Technology Instructor who teaches students who are blind or visually impaired the use of various assistive technologies e.g. screen readers, screen magnifiers, OCR software, etc. to help those who are looking for employment to become more employable and to increase independence. He brings his extensive practical experience in using various types of assistive technologies over the last few decades. He has also received training and certification from the Assistive Technology Institute as an instructor.

Tom joined the VCB because he believes that technology is a major factor in making people who are blind or visually impaired more employable and more self-sufficient in general.

 Interests: Tom is an avid reader, mostly audio books. He also enjoys outdoor activities e.g. fishing, camping etc. He is an amateur radio operator and he uses this to provide communications at community events.
