Supporting Your Journey
Our Mission
We support, train and employ people who are low vision or blind.
Dining in the Dark
Thursday, September 24th
Valley Center for the Blind is excited to again host this unique and unforgettable event in Fresno County. Hosted at Fort Washington Golf & Country Club, this event will feature a blind wine-tasting, a four-course meal, excellent entertainment, and so much more. Guests will enjoy four courses (two under blindfold) as they experience a meal using non-sighted techniques. Alongside friends, family, and colleagues, you will share a remarkable journey relying on only taste, touch, smell, and sound and learn about what it means to be blind in Fresno County.
Jason’s Journey
At Valley Center for the Blind, we empower individuals experiencing vision loss to rebuild confidence, enhance emotional wellbeing, and develop the skills needed to navigate daily life and achieve their personal goals. We invite you to hear Jason’s story and learn about the path that led him to our community.
Who We Serve
Valley Center for the Blind welcomes anyone experiencing vision loss—or seeking to better understand it—to reach out to us. With locations in Fresno, Visalia, and Bakersfield, we proudly serve the Central California counties of Fresno, Madera, Kings, Tulare, and Kern. Our programs provide comprehensive training and support for individuals with vision loss, and each participant receives a personalized plan tailored to their goals, abilities, and preferences.
While every participant’s journey is unique, they all share a common goal: greater independence. We work exclusively with individuals who are legally blind or visually impaired, ensuring that our staff is highly specialized and deeply experienced. Because vision loss can take many forms, we encourage you to contact us with any questions or to explore how our services may support you.
